As we increasingly face challenges related to changing climate and weather patterns, it is common to experience cycles of anxiety and denial, as well as other emotions like despair and grief. Climate aware therapy provides a safe place to explore these themes and connect with resources for resilience and growth in the face of these challenges.
In recent years, the climate crisis has challenged me personally, and inspired me to offer “climate aware” therapy, which provides space to explore emotions and draws on various frameworks to work with the emerging planetary crises. I am also a Disaster Mental Health volunteer with the American Red Cross, providing psychological first aid following disasters.
